It is called FBO.gov, FedBizOpps, or the Federal Business Opportunities website. Whatever you call it, the General Services Administration announced it will start the process of transitioning the federal opportunities website to http://beta.SAM.gov in the first quarter of fiscal 2020 and to complete the transition on or before Jan. 1.
GSA says the new website will have the same capabilities as FBO.gov, along with improvements to readability, search precision and one-click set-ups to receive notices about specific solicitations, among other changes.
“All functionality will migrate to beta.SAM.gov along with some added improvement, making contract opportunities more user-friendly,” according to a statement on GSA Interact.
Users of beta.SAM.gov will have to create new accounts to transition roles from FBO.gov to beta.SAM.gov.
Overall, the GSA is merging 10 acquisition websites into a single website, including FBO.gov, SAM.gov and FPDS.gov.
