The 673rd Contracting Squadron from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) is hosting the first annual Alaska-Wide Department of Defense (DoD) Virtual Industry Event. This year’s theme is Partnering for a Successful Future. This event is the first of its kind as an Alaska-Wide event. The event is held in collaboration with the Alaska Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC).
There will be presentations from seven Alaskan DoD agencies participating for this huge event: the 673 Contracting Squadron, Defense Logistics Agency, Alaska National Guard, 766th ESS (Radar System), 345 Contracting/Eielson, Regional Contracting Office-Alaska/Ft Wainwright, and the USACOE. Some of the presentation topics include:
- Are you in compliance with NDAA Section 889?
- What does it mean to be a Mission Essential Contractor?
- What is Market Research to industry?
- Potential upcoming contracting opportunities (procurement forecasts)
Why has this event been created? Many challenges exist for small businesses seeking to enter the government procurement market place. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted how DoD currently do business. This is a great opportunity to encourage maximum participation by small businesses for government award contracting opportunities.
Join the staff from seven Alaskan based DoD agencies ready to meet with you, educate and inform you on “Partnering for a Successful Future” and acquisition forecasting.
