The longstanding “DUNS” number proprietary identifiers for federal contractors have been removed from all General Services Administration-owned systems and no longer appear in SAM.gov searches, views or extracts, the GSA announced. The DUNS numbers were owned by Dun & Bradstreet. The government’s Unique Entity ID
numbers are now the only authoritative identifier for federal contractors, GSA
said.
