A lot of commercial companies are exploiting people interested in doing business with FEMA and other federal agencies, charging them hundreds of dollars to “help” complete necessary and even optional registrations. For example, registering with FEMA is optional and you can sign up as a disaster contractor when completing your System for Award Management (SAM) registration. In either case the registration is FREE.
Registering to do business with government agencies — any government agency, not just FEMA — is FREE and you don’t need to pay someone 100s of dollars to do it.
