Military construction budgets are filled with valuable insight on what you will soon find advertised on FBO.gov. This workshop will equip small business leaders with knowledge on how to get ahead of solicitation advertisements by identifying potential opportunities before they are advertised.   Presented by Jeff Duguid, the Marketing Manager with RLF, a major A&E firm based in Florida.

Part I
The Federal budget is massive, so where do you even begin to look? Seasoned business development and marketing professionals will tell you that if the first time you learn about the project is when the solicitation is advertised, it’s too late to pursue. The thought process is that there are other teams out there who already knew about the project, have a team prepared and have met with the client to position their team for success

Bring your laptop and together we will download and walk through the FY19 Military budget and learn how to decipher the valuable secrets it holds. You will leave with all the documentation and knowledge you need to continue your research. Best of all, every resource we will use is 100% free!

Part II
In Part II of the workshop we will implement and practice the skills learned during Part I. Attendees will select an opportunity from the FY19 budget that their firm may be interested in and will conduct independent research, document intel, identify missing information and strategically outline their next steps. The instructor will be available to provide one-on-one guidance and coaching throughout the process.

NOTE: The Coast Guard is an agency of the Department of Homeland Security and due to significant differences in budget appropriations, their budget is not comparable and will not be discussed.
