President Obama signed Executive Order 13706, which establishes paid sick leave, including paid leave for family care for federal contractors. This means that businesses who enter into a covered contract with the federal government must provide covered employees with sick leave each year – including paid leave for family care. Final Rules were published and the EO went into effect on January 1, 2017.
This workshop will look at how this EO affects both the Service Contract Act (SCA) and Davis Bacon Act (DBA) Wage Determination with focus on Sick Leave application and compliance
