The US Forest Service is starting their 2019 fiscal year with a Small Business Outreach event. To ensure that they reach their small business contracting goals, the Forest Service is actively seeking qualified small businesses, especially:
- Service Disabled Veteran & Veteran Owned Businesses
- Woman Owned Small Businesses
- HUBZone Certified
- 8(a) Certified
Marie Kanan, Forest Service Procurement Analyst will review the FY2019 Procurement Forecast which identifies planned projects for 2018 along with assigned procurement set-aside category.
Jody King, Alaska PTAC Contract Specialist will go over the socio-economic designations for small businesses and discuss the eligibility requirements for the various small business certifications. This workshop will also discuss how-to strategically position your company to be ready for these procurement activities through certification, and teaming strategies.
