The US Forest Service and the Alaska Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) invite the local Hoonah business community to join them to learn more about potential contract opportunities for Fiscal Year 2019.
Starting at 1:30 pm, Jody King & Carolyn Pratt (PTAC) will discuss how to do business with the federal Government. There will be a brief overview of the purchasing process focusing along with the “why” of the paperwork and bidding processes. This segment will also discuss small business designations, and certifications and the impact of the purchasing process for set-aside decisions.
Then at 3:00 pm, Marie Kanan & John Gellings (FS) will review the Forest Service FY19 Procurement Forecast. The procurement forecast is a list of planned projects for the next fiscal year. Jody King (PTAC) will then talk about developing a planning strategy based on the forecast.
