The Debrief is a critical part of the government contracting proposal process. It provides a “post-game” opportunity to discuss the proposal strengths and weakness as evaluated by the contracting officer and/or the proposal evaluation team.
In a contract management context, a debriefing is “an explanation given by buyer personnel to an offeror detailing the reasons its offer was unsuccessful.”
This video discusses the four phases of the debrief process: 1. Decision, 2. Notification, 3. Request and 4. Debriefing. This webinar is structured from the NCMA Article “The Debriefing Process Flow” by James N Phillips Jr. June 2018
